It was a whirlwind last year, baby on the way, move to a “new” city, hectic wedding season and suddenly its a year later. I loved looking back threw Emily and Ben’s wedding the whole day brought a smile to my face. Emily and Ben met as teachers in Teach For America. Their wedding day was full of personal details, gold stars, donations to their favorite charity and above all a lot of love. Emily and Ben were so fun to be around, laid back, took in the big and small moments of their day and of course are very in love. We were so honored to be able to capture such an amazing day is this beautiful couples lives.

Emily was such a beautiful calm bride… and yes she was “stunning”

Love when couples choose to do a first look… Its such a special moment between the bride and groom

Ben is one happy groom with such a great personality, he and Emily go together like peas and carrots!

Since Ben and Emily met as teachers for Teach for America they incorporated lots of fun details … like these fun crossword programs for the ceremony

They also created a ceremony that was unique and held special traditions for both of them, such as Ben meeting Emily halfway down the aisle…

A friend and fellow teacher married them, and for doing such a good job he gave them both a gold star.

They choose to read children’s books to each other as a part of their vows, such simple uncomplicated professions of love was amazing to hear

The personal details were so fun and creative… paper airplanes to throw as they came down the aisle newly minted as Man and Wife!

Happy Couple… Golden light… perfect California evening!

We met their dog Hoagie at their engagement session, so instead of gifts they made a donation to the ASPCA, a favorite charity!

Always love this moment

And yes there was a a choreographed dance from the groom and groomsmen at the end of the night… it was epic.

Love.
