sara + matt… engaged!

Matt and Sara are the type of people who are going to change the world… literally make it a better place. We first met them through our good friend Yelena of “The Stylish Soiree.” Sara had just returned from a trip to Africa where she spent time volunteering, and Matt is a district attorney for the City of Los Angeles. In the time that we have known them, Sara has now completed another trip to Africa, and we learned during their engagement shoot that they will be joining the Peace Corps! What an amazing couple, they met in Law School at UCLA, fell in love, are getting married, and who I am sure will make a very large impact on the world.

We had a great (very cold) day in December for their engagement shoot. These two win the award for best attitudes and smiles when it is cooolllldd..!! (by California standards of course). We visited their alma mater, UCLA, and discovered that 99% of all the movies that “take place in college” were actually filmed there.. we visited the School of Law building, and explored the place they fell in love and survived law school. After reliving the good ol days we headed to their current stomping grounds, Santa Monica and set out for some shots at the pier and around the beach. It was one of those great winter days, the sun was setting, the waves were dark and blistery and we felt so lucky to be part of such a special time for two amazing people. We can’t wait for the big day in Palm Springs this March!!
