• To be fearless.

• To not care what other people think.

• To give more of my time to helping others.

• To live a life of adventure and if that requires challenges and being uncomfortable… Bring it.

• To be more thankful for what I have and not dwell so much on what I don’t.

• To live boldly and unapologetically and have a great time doing so.

And here is a little sneak peek of a recent session that we shot!  It has inspired me to start a new project I’m super fired up on and cant wait to share!

]]> http://studio28photoblog.com/2010/11/17/a-case-of-the-i-wants/feed/ 1 A one legged seagull… http://studio28photoblog.com/2010/09/13/a-one-legged-seagull/ http://studio28photoblog.com/2010/09/13/a-one-legged-seagull/#comments Mon, 13 Sep 2010 22:54:18 +0000 s28 photo blog http://studio28photoblog.com/?p=843 Weird where life can teach you a lesson… Today I was out running and I spotted this one legged seagull chillin’ helping himself to some leftovers on a park bench.  ”Man I thought that poor little guy”  I sat there and stretched as he continued to peck at some fries and suddenly as if he had enough he sat there looked around and hopped on his one leg and flew off fat and happy…  Made me think does he know he has only one leg?  Does that let it slow him down or stop him…

Lately I have been thinking a lot about goals… about the difference between thinking you can do something and actually going out there and getting it done.  What is the difference between the two?  Where does “I think I can” become “F yeah I totally will?”

I was reading Fast Company one day and stumbled upon the this little quote from M. Gandhi, “Men often become what they believe themselves to be.  If I believe I cannot do something then it makes me incapable of doing it.  But when I do believe I can then I acquire the  ability to do it, even if I didn’t think I had it in the beginning!

So here’s what I think… that once you believe you can do it you are already halfway there in accomplishing your goal.  So I say maybe like that seagull with only one leg, don’t let things get you down, and the first step is believing in yourself!

Here’s a little pic I snapped after today’s run… Chloe always comes and sits outside with me while I cool down and today she looked none to happy that I forgot to move my shoes…

Actually this is where Chloe posts up and waits for Kyle to come home!  Whenever he is gone she hops in the chair and waits patiently for him to come back!  She has the perfect view from her little perch to see his car pull up!  It’s pretty darn cute and she means business because she will sit there forever waiting for his return…

After one particular shoot on a seamless background in our, “home studio” of our office manager, we started getting inquires from people about shooting there kids… ahem.. I mean dogs!  And there you have it a new branch of Studio 28 has emerged!

With that being said, Meet Harley..  We had her for the weekend while some good friends were out of town, and as a surprise Christmas gift we had a little photo shoot with her!  We had a blast and based on the amount of treats we bribed her with to ssttaayyyy, ssiittttt, and ddooowwwwnnnn, we think she did too!!
