jenn + brian… engaged!

They met on a blind date. A mutual friend had a very good track record of setting people up, with two succesful couples already made, and next on his list was Jenn and Brian. In typical blind date fashion she brought a friend and so did he, “a group thing.” The plan was to grab a quick drink see how it went and go from there. Drinks turned into dinner dates, dinner dates turned into dating and now Jenn and Brian are headed towards together forever!

We had such a fun time hiking around Griffith Park with these two (extra props to Jenn for hiking in those boots while carrying a heavy purse and maintaining looking fabulous the entire time) getting to know a little more about them, and ending the evening at the “lamp posts” at the LACMA! Jenn and Brian, we cannot wait for your big day.. it is right around the corner in April and are so honored to be able to capture this moment in your lives!

kyoto grand hotel wedding… sharon + kim! part 2

Sharon and Kim’s wedding day continued at the Kyoto Grand Hotel in downtown LA. Under the warm California sun these two stood in front of friends and family and said I do…to forever, to each other, to sharing a life together! The reception was filled with lots of dancing and fun but the most memorable moment was when Kim sang a song he had composed to Sharon about his love for her and their new life together! It was such a beautiful moment there was hardly a dry eye at the reception! We headed over to the Disney Concert Hall for some portraits and had an amazing time reliving the events of the day! Sharon and Kim thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of this time in your live we cna’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!

ponte winery wedding… josh + nikki!

It was a day that started 13 years ago… Josh was getting on a bus headed to a high school baseball game and noticed a girl named Nikki heading to her softball game. A relationship started, they went to prom, graduated high-school, off to college, traveled, moved to a new city and threw it all remained at each others sides. Just shy of their 13th year together Nikki and Josh stood before their closest family and friends to say “I do!”

They got married at the Ponte Winery, tucked away in Temecula, it was the perfect setting, intimate and full of personal touches that told the story of Nikki and Josh! The moment Nikki slipped into her wedding dress a huge smile spread across her face as she exclaimed “oohh my I’m getting married…!” As she walked towards Josh and taped him on the shoulder for their first look.. His smile said it all… the girl on the bus was now his stunning bride.

With the sun setting behind the vineyard behind them they said “I Do” and as a part of their ceremony sealed a bottle of wine with memories and wishes to be opened on their 10 year anniversary. Nikki and Josh we wish you lots of love and happiness, and when you open that bottle in ten years toast to a wonderful past and an amazing future together!

cravens estate wedding… alex + becky!

“It’s like six Christmas’s all at once” Becky exclaimed as soon as we saw her on her wedding day! We walked threw the large brass doors of the Cravens Estate and there was Becky, blond hair curled, getting ready for her wedding with the biggest smile on her face. She laughed as she told us this was officially her favorite day, like six christmas’s and a few birthday’s combined. Alex and Becky had planned to get married at the Craven Estate, both being from the east coast they fell in love with the charm and the historic feeling of the place! As the day started to unfold the old majestic mansion was the site of new memories for this amazing couple.

The day was infused with lots of personal touches from the bride and groom. One of their favorite things to do is take a day, drop the top on their convertible and head up to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting. From the tables named after their favorite vineyards, to the guest sign in grape vine, its was a day that celebrated two people and the love they share. Alex and Becky are the type of couple who laugh easily and always seem to be having a great time. It was no different on their wedding day, they stole little moments, some special and sweet, others were out loud and hilarious!

The sun was setting as they stood on the steps of a old historic manision and said “I do.” I couldn’t help but think of all the stories threw time that this mansion could tell. I had to smile because I cannot wait to see how the story of Becky and Alex and their life together unfolds!

“That’s all it took... ” I know, I know a little bit cheesy, but I must say I have 100% become a fan of the, “first look.” We have had a lot of couples opt to see each other for a, “first look” this year and it’s become one of our favorite moments! There is something very intimate and special about a bride and a groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day when no one else is around (but Kyle and I). It’s when the day becomes real and it is a cherished moment they get to share! Here is a sneak peek from Nikki and Josh’s first look, can’t wait to show you the rest of their gorgeous wedding!

center club wedding… michelle + dakota!

I heard it a few times during the wedding and reception, family and friends smiling, laughing and saying “that is so their relationship.” It seems that Dakota and Michelle have a relationship like no other, and the people who love them are the first to admit they are the perfect fit for each other. It’s the way they look at one another, the jokes they share, the laughs they exchange… “It’s just so them.”

When I arrived at Michelle’s parents house, she was surrounded by her closest friends in her childhood home getting ready to marry her best friend. Through the laughter and tears Michelle remained calm and ready to walk down the aisle. When she was in her dress, there was a collective sigh as the girl who countless times passed through the door of her parents home, would leave today and become Dakota’s wife.

They said their, “I Do’s”, exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss… and their forever began. During the speeches at the reception, there were countless stories of why Cody and Michelle were perfect for each other. From first dates, and hilarious memories there was one thing that everyone agreed upon, throughout it all Dakota and Michelle… just fit, “Its Just so their relationship.”

Dakota and Michelle… We were so happy to be a part of your wedding. We can’t wait to see what the future hold for you both! Congratulations!
