]]> http://studio28photoblog.com/2011/05/18/wednesday/feed/ 0 finding your creative voice… http://studio28photoblog.com/2011/03/09/finding-your-creative-voice/ http://studio28photoblog.com/2011/03/09/finding-your-creative-voice/#comments Wed, 09 Mar 2011 16:26:38 +0000 allierichter http://studio28photoblog.com/?p=1432 Last week threw the wonderful world of twitter I heard that Seth Godin was going to be on Fast Track Photographer.  Seth is the author of the Tipping Point, Tribes, Linchpin, The Purple Cow… to name a few.  He is a NY Times best selling author and has written a ton of amazing books about growing your business, why things become a phenomenon and much more.  I haven’t read all his books but the ones I have were very good and I would highly recommend.  So when I heard he was going to be on Fast Track last week I tuned in.  In the 30-45 minutes he was on he made many good points that I scribbled down so I could remember them.  However the one thing that really stood out to me was the idea to stop looking around and see what everyone else who is successful is doing but to have faith in your own creativity and ability.  Now I know that seems like a simple idea but I often find myself lumped into the thought “ohhhh that’s cool and its working  I’ll do something similar.”   One thing I try to do is be original, and yes there are a a few times where I can admit I have been and its great, but there are other times I see whats around me and do a “version” of that.  So today world wide web friends I am going to challenge myself to be different, to be OK to fail and try again if I do but above all to be innovative!  To find my creative voice and shout it from the roof tops!   Happy Wednesday!

I felt a bit like the first day of school when I arrived a bit nervous and knowing no one, but soon met some amazing photogs and proceeded to have a great morning.  The detail of the day was impeccable and the view from the penthouse in the Palms was not to shabby.  Here are a few images from the day I, hope you like them!

Am I the only one that feels like 2011 has flown by?  I swear it seams like just yesterday I was all fired up writing down my new years resolutions! So far 2011 has been all over the map, good, bad, unexpected, exciting, all of it. So here is my March reminder to myself to get out those resolutions and if I have fallen behind or aren’t quite where I expected to be here’s to getting back on the path and moving on! Annndddddd I’m not going to lie I’m glad summer is getting closer its been freezing here in Cali and I need some warm weather…!

This makes me realize how lucky I am to have not only my “better half” by my side but most of all, my “best friend!”

This photo I took was on a early morning drive to my 9-5 while Allison was up in Seattle and made me think of the two of us and how lucky we are!!

Little miss Harlow is adorable.  She is happy, smiley, and so much fun to be around.  She rocks her little skinny jeans and chucks, and has so much personality I can’t wait to hear what she has to say when she can finally talk!

For their family session we revisted some of the spots we shot their engagement photos and took a walk down memory lane!   It was a great day and I can’t wait to see what the future has for this beautiful family!
