Kyle and I have had a great time and are looking forward to the fall, which is my favorite time of year!!  (I’m not going to lie I am sooo looking forward to the cute boots I am planning on wearing when it gets a bit cooler…)  So as we bid farewell to summer were excited to say hello the the crisp weather of fall and all the amazing weddings we get to be a part of…

I debated and debated and THE DAY IT WAS DUE… I decided to do it! I had a lot to do seeing as I had never used the video feature on my Canon 5D MarkII I had to learn that, check, figure out what to say, check and not look like a complete Dork…um no check…

I had a lot of fun putting my video together, learned a rad new feature on my camera and laughed until I cried when I watched the outtakes realizing yes I am a Dork… I needed a haircut (which I have since done) and overall my future in film and television is looking slim. So here are only a few of my many outtakes, because if you can’t laugh at yourself what’s the point!

Their engagement shoot started at El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in LA!  It was the scene of their first date and listening to Tamara tell the story of, “To Order Guacamole Or Not,” was absolutely  hilarious!  We then had our own little car race down to the Redondo Beach jetty where Jim taught Tamara karate and where their relationship grew into something more…  The day was a total walk down memory lane and a peek into a future full of fun, love and laughter!    I love engagement sessions that take place in a spots that are meaningful to the couple, I hope in 30 years they look back at these photos and laugh over the “To Order Guacamole Or Not” story again and again..!

Jim just got a new Porsche… and seeing as it is such an amazing car we had to include it in the shoot… Jim and Tamara are looking fierce on this one…

Actually this is where Chloe posts up and waits for Kyle to come home!  Whenever he is gone she hops in the chair and waits patiently for him to come back!  She has the perfect view from her little perch to see his car pull up!  It’s pretty darn cute and she means business because she will sit there forever waiting for his return…

It was a great day!  We saw where Joey asked Erin to be his wife and we learned it was the site of their first camping trip IN NOVEMBER, Burrrrrrr…!  We spent the day revisiting the journey that lead them to falling in love.  Erin and Joey we are so excited for you both!  We can’t wait until your wedding day in September, it will be an amazing celebration of the love you share and we are so happy we get to be a part of it!

Here is the best part of the day the waves were super good…  So whenever we told Joey, (who surfs all the time) to look out at the ocean he had no problem with that at all…

Kyle and I were so excited to capture this wonderful day celebrating the love that Amy and Jonathan share!

Amy spent the morning getting ready surrounded by her girlfriends and her family.  Amongst all the chaos she was relaxed and calm, “excited” she said to see Jonathan at the end of the aisle.  She sat patiently as her hair and makeup got touched up, smiling at her mom and sisters and talked about how the day was finally here.  As the moment got closer and Amy was about to walk down and become Jonathans Bride her smile grew and you could feel her excitement.

The day was a prefect celebration of the love of two people!  The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a party!  People danced, toasted, laughed and raised their glasses in cheers to the life Amy and Jonathan are starting together!  Amy and Jonathan… Kyle and I were honored to be part of this amazing time in your life, we are so excited to see all the great things in store for you both!  We wish you all the luck in the world and can’t wait to meet your newest addition, Bentley the bulldog!

It’s a great way to capture the party and the fabulous time the guests are having at the reception, and always makes for great photos for the bride and groom to have of their guests afterwards! Ashley’s designs are innovative, fun and fresh!   She has a keen eye and can translate the look and feel of her design into an great reflection of your style.  We cannot wait to see all the amazing things she will create, and are so proud of our dear friend!
